The opportunity:
- Our Private Enterprise team provide high quality business advisory services to small-to-medium sized businesses across New Zealand.
- We are looking for an Administrator to work with our team and provide support on Companies Office matters and Tax Administration support as required.
Day to day you will:
- Process changes to Companies Office details including the preparation of forms and resolutions; updating the records with the Registrar of Companies and issuing invoices
- Assist with maintaining clients’ Statutory Records, including Minute Books, Share Registers and Directors Registers
- Ensure that all pre-engagement processes are completed for new clients and that all authorisation processes are maintained for existing clients
- Assist with preparing annual return documentation for clients and file with Companies Office once returned; liaise with clients and KPMG staff to follow up on any outstanding documentation
- Update details, changes and load new clients into Corporate Affairs system
- Produce timely, accurate and efficient maintenance of Tax Register
- Produce monthly filing statistics
- Extract and e-filing of tax returns
- Checking and sending out tax refund cheques
- Checking Inland Revenue assessments as they are received and investigating any discrepancies
- Communication with Inland Revenue (verbal & written)
- Provide support for staff on tax administration issues

What you’ll bring to our team:
- Competency with the following packages: Corporate Affairs, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in interacting with clients
- Familiar with the concept of time and cost recording and billing
- Strong organisational and time management skills in dealing with multiple tasks concurrently
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
- A strong client focus and work ethic is essential
- Have the ability to develop sound long term relationships with KPMG management, staff and external clients
- Be a team player with a friendly, professional manner
- Have the ability to work unsupervised
