The Opportunity:
- We have 2 positions for part-time data analysts that would fit well University students.
- You will work within Lighthouse, KPMG’s a Data & Analytics team that balances technological know-how with business knowledge.
- We expect the successful candidates to work 15-20 hours per week. This will be a contract role for 6-12 months depending on your preference and availability.
- We prefer candidates who are located in Auckland, but we will also consider Wellington-based candidates.
- In this role you will be receiving client data, cleansing and mapping data, run existing models, modifying or extending models, and delivering different types of required outputs. You will be working with stakeholders from different teams and potentially directly with the client.

What you’ll bring to the team:
- Currently studying in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Finance or Engineering
- Experience programming in R
- Experience using SQL or other structured data languages to transform datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions.
- A logical approach to client problems and an inquisitive nature to find the best solution.
- Knowledge of SCM (Git)
- Knowledge of Excel
- Critical thinking
- Attention to details
- Timely delivery
