Purpose
The Director of Partnerships is responsible for developing and executing Kueski’s partnership strategy to enhance and grow our market share. This role is in charge of both developing new partnerships as well as maintaining and growing current partnerships, and overseeing activities that strengthen these relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align partner goals and objectives with Kueski’s business strategy
- Establish effective communication channels and build, cultivate, and manage relationships with partner key stakeholders to coordinate strategic priorities and ensure product collaboration
- Proactively resolve issues, create value, and ensure partners are satisfied with with the results of their collaboration
- Clearly and succinctly summarize program strategy, goals, risks, and dependencies, tailoring communication based on audience (internal senior management, program core team, and external stakeholders)
- Demonstrate customer focus by maintaining a deep understanding of partners, how we deliver joint value as partners, and delight Kueski and partner’s joint customers in the relevant markets; evangelize expansion opportunities and optimizations that will deliver value to partners and joint customers
- Own growth strategies with partnerships and be accountable for success metrics
- Work with product, marketing, account management, customer operations to monitor market trends and competitor activities and to identify and engage potential partners
Negotiate new partnerships with potential partners in order to establish mutually beneficial relationships
- Develop strategies to increase brand awareness and grow audiences for Kueski’s products with our partners’ products or services (and vice versa)
- Cultivate a culture of high ownership, customer-first focus, and teamwork.
Position Requirements
- 10+ years of work experience, with 5+ years in sales relationship management, customer success, strategic partnerships, or related fields
- Familiarity with payments and ecommerce landscape
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous and complex situations
- Demonstrated ability to adapt strategy and execution based on the dynamics of the market
- Excellent negotiation and contracting skills, with the ability to find all sources of value to the – parties
- Excellent project management skills, with the golity to mitigate risks and dependencies as well as delivery at high quality, with value insights, and on time
- Strong collaborator who can lead large cross-functional activities and provide guidance, feedback, and support where needed to ensure shared success
- Proven ability to build successful executive relationships and influence decision makers
- Thorough understanding of the full business value chain from product to sales, marketing, and customer service
