About the business

Kumeu Village Rest Home is a beautiful new continuing care home which opened in March 2015. Situated in an idyllic semi- rural location, overlooking rows of grape vines, we provide high quality Rest Home, Hospital & Dementia Care services under the Eden Alternative holistic model of care.

About the role

We are looking for fast-moving people to work with our close Kitchen team. This role includes assisting the Cooks, dishes, table setting, morning/afternoon tea rounds and general Kitchen duties. Strong communication skills, teamwork and a hardworking, can-do attitude are a must.

Skills and experience

We are looking for people who enjoy caring for older people and being part of a busy, dynamic family focused home that is committed to providing a high level of service and dedication. Empathy, compassion and a desire to ‘give something back’ will be strong internal values, as will a ‘hands on’ approach to everything you do. 

Experience working in a busy Kitchen with a team and/or working with Elderly is preferred but not required if you’re willing to learn.

Ability to work Saturday and Sunday 1.30pm – 8.30pm.
