YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
1. Participates in cross-functional initiative global project teams as assigned and provides expertise (including compilation of CDO user requirements) into development of CDO-relevant systems to enable efficient study start-up and conduct activities and to maximize CDO end user and/or external customer satisfaction.
2. Expert knowledge of CDO relevant tools and advises CDO organization for optimal utilization of these tools:
a) Recommends business rules and system policies / procedures
b) Assists efforts to coordinate and perform administration tasks for relevant CDO owned tools
c) Perform UAT and system validation activities
d) Contributes to management of CDO quality checks and housekeeping activities on key tools
e)Develops system training and support events as requested
3.Works on implementation of CDO Systems Strategy, in collaboration with Head of Systems Support
4. Analyzes reporting options to facilitate operational plan compliance for study teams
5. Drives troubleshooting on escalated system issues
This can be a very good career path for CRAs who do not want extensive travel as post-pandemic travel will be limited to a few F2F meetings in Europe!
Education/Qualifications:
WHO YOU ARE
The incumbent must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant healthcare experience including at least 3 years of relevant clinical operations experience. Strong technical expertise preferred.
Experience:
- Broad understanding of global clinical operations processes and ability to translate these processes into relevant integrated IT solutions.
- Strategic mindset to ensure deliverables are aligned with overarching vision of CDO function
- Flexibility to rapidly adapt to changing business needs and priorities
- Effective technical and analytical skills to identify, evaluate, and propose innovative solutions to issues
- Able to collaborate effectively within a multi-cultural, global, matrix organization
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Will lead cross-functional projects with a strong impact on the business. The deliverables will be globally utilized and will affect multiple functions. The Systems Manager must be able to act with limited supervision and must be accountable for developing project proposals. Project decision-making to be made in collaboration with more senior team members.
