Job Summary:
The IT/Cybersecurity Acquisition SME will support our federal customer in in development and execution of acquisition and contracts management business strategies aligned around both large and small acquisition programs and activities. The ideal candidate will provide insights and expertise for acquisition and contracts management tasks, including the development of innovative business management processes and streamlined solutions that align with our client’s strategies and missions. You will provide insight and expert knowledge in preparing and reviewing financial and contract-related reports and other documentation, track contract milestones, and review and archive contract deliverables. Job duties will also include identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvement initiatives to streamline and standardize contracting activities.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience in Federal cybersecurity initiatives and/or federal procurement in IT/cybersecurity
Strong relationships and reputation within IT and cybersecurity industry and Federal, State, and Local government entities.
Familiarity with programs, challenges, and priorities related to large Federal cybersecurity or/and IT initiatives and programs across the Federal Civilian Executive Branch, executive orders and policy memoranda, and strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as it pertains to procurement of cybersecurity tools and services.
Capability to manage strategic assignments autonomously and present products and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
Capability to gather, synthesize, and analyze data, and make recommendations to leadership pertaining to program operations
Writing skills and the capability to communicate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner
Public speaking and/or facilitator experience
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in government consulting in either federal or SLTT sectors.
Experience as a U.S. Government Contracting Officer, Contracting Specialist, or Acquisition Program Manager on large-scale, enterprise acquisition programs.
Experience supporting or leading customer facing engagements emphasizing managed service acquisitions (e.g., shared services, as-a-service offerings).
Experience supporting CISA cybersecurity programs or initiatives.
Industry recognized certification related to acquisitions or project management [e.g., Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C), Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) in Contracting or Program Management, Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar] .
Clearance:
Secret Clearance or above (desired but not required)
Must be able to attain DHS CISA suitability / EOD upon hire
This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
