POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Supervisor, Employee Services and Systems, the Employee Services Associate provides administrative support within the Human Resources Department, assisting employees as they begin employment with Lakeridge Health and move within the organization throughout their career. The Employee Services Associate is responsible for employee documentation, pension and benefit explanation and enrolment, and HRIS data entry. The Employee Services Assistant works closing with the Benefits, HRIS, Payroll and Talent Acquisition teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
” Assists with the on-boarding process for all new hires including: meeting with all new hires to complete required paperwork; collecting and verifying required documentation; explaining the pension and benefit programs; enrolling staff in pension and benefit programs; and keying employee data into the HRIS within the required timeframes;
” Administers employee transfers for staff transferring to full time status including; scheduling documentation meetings; meeting with transfers to complete required paperwork; explaining the pension and benefits programs; enrolling staff in pension and benefits programs; and keying employee data in to the HRIS within the required timeframes;
” Calculates seniority and service for staff transferring and changing employment status;
” Performs additional HRIS data entry including keying: other employee transfers; job code changes; functional centre changes; salary changes, corrections, etc.
” Reviews and processes claims for recent and related experience for new hires, including monitoring “bring forward file”.
” Maintains information for professional memberships;
” Performs other duties including participating in ad hoc HR and Workforce Planning initiatives as required;
QUALIFICATIONS:
” Human Resources Management Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience required;
” previous experience utilizing an HRIS required;
” intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, Word);
” effective verbal and written communication skills,
” strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service;
” proven administrative skills and the ability to organize and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines;
” proven flexibility to respond to changing work priorities;
” demonstrated attention to detail;
” proven ability to work productively and independently with frequent interruptions;
” proven ability to assess inquiries and problems and to exercise good judgment in making the appropriate referrals;
” related knowledge and experience of internal/external recruitment processes;
marketing and advertising, an asset;

” Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health’s comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-services in this area; and;
