The UK Student Recruitment Team at Lancaster is an ambitious and collaborative team that sits within the broader division, RAID (Recruitment, Admissions and International Development).
The post holder for this pivotal role in the UK recruitment team will focus on recruiting high-calibre undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students to meet University recruitment targets. You will develop, co-ordinate, implement and evaluate student recruitment plans and ensure that effective, high-quality activities are provided to prospective students, teachers and advisers, parents and key partners. We want to support students’ decision making, encourage students to choose Lancaster and support their application through to enrolment.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the UK student recruitment team and for identifying new opportunities and partnerships for Lancaster, whilst ensuring the team’s effective management of existing relationships.
In addition, you will be a main point of contact within the team. You will chair the UG and PG operational planning groups and work closely with faculties and academic departments, ensuring a high level of service and collaborative approach is deployed and maintained and that the recruitment activity is as effective as possible.
This role requires travel across the UK, and some of these locations are not easily accessible by public transport. The role may also require evening and weekend work and overnight stays and you will receive time off in lieu for any work undertaken outside of core working hours.
The successful candidate will be a graduate, or equivalent, with a good working knowledge of the higher education sector. You will be an experienced manager and have demonstrable experience of developing and delivering creative, innovative and effective student recruitment plans and activities to meet targets. Applicants must also demonstrate their ability think strategically and have excellent communication, presentation and project management skills.
