Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Data Scientist located in Taranaki, New Zealand. The Data Scientist will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, developing statistical models, creating data visualizations, and providing insights through data analysis. Daily tasks include gathering and processing data, performing statistical analyses, building predictive models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support Maestro’s platform development and optimization. The role requires a strong foundation in data science principles and an ability to convey complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Data Science, Data Analysis, and Data Analytics
• Proficiency in Statistics and statistical modeling techniques
• Experience in Data Visualization and presenting data insights
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience with machine learning algorithms is a plus
• Familiarity with energy systems or the utilities sector is advantageous
