Visiting Teacher of Piano

We are looking for an inspiring teacher of Piano to join the talented team of visiting music teachers at Latymer Upper School from January 2023.
We have a thriving piano department at Latymer, with 7 piano teachers, two of whom also teach jazz piano, and one of whom is Head of Keyboard. We are looking for a teacher of piano who would be able to take on 1 day’s teaching per week, and in the first instance some of these pupils would be beginners. This would involve individual lessons, usually lasting 30 minutes, but there might be opportunities to run a chamber ensemble, accompany ABRSM exams, take aural classes, accompany at scholarship auditions, concerts etc. We are looking for a teacher who is able to inspire students in both our Prep School and our Upper School, ranging in age from 7–18, so empathy with the entire age group is essential. The Visiting Music Staff, all of whom are employed by the school, are an engaging group of outstandingly talented musicians and teachers, and the department is always buzzing and alive.
Salary: £40.13 per hour
