Laundryheap is an on-demand laundry and linen service with a mission to deliver great service within 24-Hours! What do we do? We collect your laundry, clean it, pack it and deliver it back to you! To lessen the impact on our planet, we also have a fleet of electrical and eco-friendly bikes for our couriers.
Having launched our Singapore service in early 2020 and successfully running the operations for 2 years, we are now looking for a motivated individual with experience / interest in operations management to join our fast-growing global team to help them in achieving the best results and drive the business forward. Reporting into the Chief of Global Logistics, the Country Manager will work with multiple teams across the world and take ownership of Laundryheap’s operations in Singapore.
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Take ownership of the operations in the region.
- Solve marketplace reliability and efficiency challenges by leveraging data, identifying the root cause and implementing effective, long-term, and scalable solutions.
- Optimize spending to ensure high ROI and business sustainability.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational opportunities.
- Develop new processes or optimize existing processes to keep the marketplace balanced, reliable and efficient.
- Design and optimize driver fees and facility costs for the region while keeping in mind requirements and competition.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor landscape and dynamically respond to market needs.
- Build and develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Build long-term and short-term business plans and track performance against these.
- Plan and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate periodically with relevant leads, managers and heads of departments in different regions to align on company progress.
- Define goals and metrics on costs for the region, and quality, and lead the team towards meeting them.
- Quality inspection and control of existing and future partner drivers and facilities. This would include managing their day-to-day quality, training, and doing workshops to improve the customer experience.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the vision, goals, and priorities for regional operations.
Requirements
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or a related field (preferably a master’s degree).
- 5+ years of work experience.
- A postgraduate degree in operations, sales, finance or similar is also acceptable.
- A good knowledge base of the country/region, and a willingness to learn.
- Has to be a Singaporean citizen.
- The ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Good people-management skills.
- Experience living abroad is advantageous.
- Sensitivity to different cultural norms.

- Master’s degree preferred
Salary:
