Investment Banking Associate Job Description
Lazard is a leading global independent investment bank. Lazard Greater China team provides a wide spectrum of financial services, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, corporate restructurings, corporate financing, special committee assignments, strategic partnerships/joint ventures, capital structure advisory, etc.
Lazard Greater China serves a diverse group of clients, including leading Chinese and multinational companies in various industries, such as utilities, infrastructure, TMT, retail & consumer, metals & mining, industrials, FIG and healthcare, etc.
Qualified candidates will possess a combination of the following attributes:
- Minimum of 3 or 4 years of investment banking or comparable experience, preferably within a Restructuring, M&A, Industry or Leverage Finance team in a reputable investment bank
- Excellent deal exposure, ideally with M&A exposure in the Greater China market
- A strong academic track record and Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Applied Economics.
- An MBA is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong accounting, applied financial theory and analytical capabilities.
- Strong technical skills, financial modelling skills and project management skills to support multiple deals are essential.
- Excellent command of English & Mandarin is imperative.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- An exceptionally strong work ethic.
