Summary:

The Quality Manager will oversee the entire quality department including inspection, engineering, QMS, Metrology, and CAPA’s

Responsibilities:

Analyzes the efficiencies of the quality department.
Work with outside and customer auditors as required
Interacts with regulatory agencies regarding product compliance
Acts as the resource for resolving product quality issues from the production floor and customer returns
Conducts analysis of quality issues including scrap, for continuous improvement
Analyzes department using statistical process control methods
Manages the document control and configuration management
Manages quality engineers and Inspection and Lab Personnel to ensure efficient throughput within the departments
Oversees and maintains a compliant Internal Quality Audit system per ISO/AS requirements
Provides review of the quality management system
Coaches employee performance by mentoring, developing employees and conducting performance
reviews annually and disciplinary action as needed

Experience / Education:

High school or Two-year Technical degree/diploma
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Statistics or similar technical field preferred
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, with emphasis on Inspection & Quality preferred
AQS and/or CQE Certification (preferred)
5 years’ management experience (preferred)
Understanding of best practices methods in inspection, calibration, and automated inspection
programming; advanced GD&T applications
Knowledge of Regulatory requirements including standards within, ISO 9001, ISO 13485,
AS9100, RoHS, REACH & ITAR
