Your New Role

This is a new piece of work with an exciting opportunity to shape the project from its inception. Working with spatial data and spatial web services, this role will require you to:

• Create and participate in software planning and estimating, status monitoring and reporting.
• Develop solutions to technical problems that require depth of technical knowledge.
• Schedule work plans for the creation of spatial web services in provided software using authoritative foundation spatial data.
• Address somewhat complex technical issues/problems using best practice and through collaboration with colleagues.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels and influence key stakeholders.

About You and What You’ll Bring

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives. Your skills in the following areas will be highly valued:

• Experience working on large, complex ICT projects in the Geospatial domain is highly desirable.
• Solid experience with C# programming language, particularly C# versions, MVC, and CLR.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL, database development from a schema-first approach
• Experience maintaining/reviewing code frameworks.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines and evolving requirements.

This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and be willing to obtain and hold an Australian Government Security Clearance.
