The role: Construction Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager with 15+ years’ experience to join the team working on the Scott Base Redevelopment Project, based in Timaru. Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in large complex projects, be a solution focussed, and be a motivating and proactive leader. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a project that will be remembered in years to come.
The project brief is to build three interconnecting buildings, accommodating up to 100 people, in sections on our Timaru site, transport and load them onto a ship, sail them across the Southern Ocean, and assemble them in Antarctica. This unique construction methodology and delivery have been specially created for the conditions in Antarctica, this has never been done before.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills in leadership, communication, planning, technical knowledge, innovation and demonstrate a passion for mentoring and developing team members further underscores their role in building a successful and harmonious work environment.
This position is based in Timaru and will require periodic travel to Christchurch.
