Description:

This is a 12 month fixed term position to cover maternity leave.

The IT Desktop Analyst is a vital member of the Leighs team, responsible for keeping everyone connected and up-to-date with the latest technology. As a problem solver with a strong focus on customer service, you will use your skills to identify and resolve technical issues, manage software packages, and prepare documentation for end users. You will also be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and identifying faults on notebooks and MS Exchange admin tasks.

The role:

• Networking and troubleshooting
• You will be a natural problem solver that is experienced in helpdesk communication with a high focus on customer service.
• You are an independent worker that can manage multiple demands and prioritise tasks.
• Familiarity with remote control software is essential alongside proven customer resolution on this platform.
• You will have a strong focus on systems and processes and have a commitment to continuous improvement in this dynamic sector.

Duties:

• Ensure company procedures and practices are being adhered to
• Managing software packages and software licencing
• Prepare and supply documentation for end users
• Undertake small to medium IT projects as requested
• Support, maintain and identify faults on notebooks and MS Exchange admin tasks
• IT communications
• Log and maintain reports for faults on servers and hardware/devices
• Machine configuration for new users
• Operate helpdesk and troubleshoot IT problems.

To be successful:

• A minimum of 2 years in an IT support role
• ITIL fundamentals, MCP or CompTIA certification desirable
• Technical knowledge of Sharepoint
• Exposure to SQL and Hyper VM ware technologies
• PC LAN install and application experience.
• Eye for detail, ability to identify technical problems and a focus on continuous improvement.
• You will be a customer focused, proactive trouble shooter.
• A New Zealand driver’s licence
