The Role: Regional Health & Safety Manager
We’re thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Health and Safety Team as the Regional Health and Safety Manager, based in Auckland. Reporting directly to our Regional Manager with a dotted line to the National Health & Safety Manager, this role plays a vital role in leading our Health and Safety team to enhance our safety culture on-site. You’ll collaborate closely with project management teams to coordinate our health & safety system.
As the Regional Health and Safety Manager, your key responsibilities include managing and implementing the Leighs National operational safety system within the Region and an opportunity to become a functioning member of the Regional Management team.
Your role will involve assigning regional safety staff to projects in conjunction with the regional leadership team and providing hands-on, day-to-day coaching, mentoring, and guidance to regional safety team members and project managers regarding safety system requirements. Expect to actively engage in safety matters such as risk assessment, safety management plans, SSSP, subcontractor engagement, monthly project auditing, and support for regional incidents/events.
