Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineer to join the team working on significant projects in Christchurch. Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in large scale projects, with a strong eye for detail and be a proactive team player.

About the role:

• Providing preliminary planning, programming and methodology development input to tendered and negotiated construction opportunities.
• Working with the estimator in establishing the sub-contractor and supplier procurement plan and negotiating with preferred subs and suppliers.
• Conducting and documenting pre-acceptance meetings.
• Acceptance of sub-contractors and suppliers, and the approval and signing of sub contract agreements in keeping with the defined delegated responsibility policy.

About you:

• Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience
• Varied and practical experience in delivering commercial construction projects in NZ & Internationally
• Strong track record of project delivery with commercial construction experience
• Technical expertise in engineering
• Proven experience in managing build ability & value engineering
• Surveying skills working with Robotic total station
