Lewy Body Dementia Association Hiring for Administrative Coordinator Job at Remote Full Time

The Lewy Body Dementia Association (“LBDA”) is a 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the leading resource in the United States for those affected by Lewy body dementias (“LBD”). LBDA is dedicated to providing outreach and education to families impacted by LBD, raising awareness of LBD among the general public and medical profession, and advocating for increased funding for LBD research.

Once seen as a rare disease, LBD is now considered the second most common form of neurodegenerative dementia in older adults and affects approximately 1.4 million people in the United States alone. It accounts for more than 20% of all dementia cases.

The Opportunity:

The Administrative Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting LBDA’s mission by providing administrative support for LBDA’s research, advocacy and education initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the VP of Strategic Partnerships and Director of Scientific Initiatives, including travel arrangements and scheduling of committee and working group meetings.
• Assist with meeting logistics for all of LBDA’s in-person events across the division.
• Maintain the contact information and membership roster of the Scientific Advisory Council, assist with term renewals and volunteer recognition.
• Maintain the contact information and corporate membership roster of the Industry Advisory Council; prepare draft new and renewal agreements, provide administrative support for timely updating of membership agreements, invoicing and payment tracking.
• Enter and maintain all contact information for research, advocacy and education initiatives in Raiser’s Edge, such as researchers, clinicians, corporate contacts, grantees, grant reviewers, event registrants and grass roots advocates.
• In close coordination with the Volunteer Coordinator, assist in tracking research, advocacy and education volunteer activities and assignments.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Strong organization skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience booking travel arrangements
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred
