Liberty Mutual Insurance Hiring for Consultant, Strategic Partnerships at Remote Full Time

The Strategic Partnership Group (SPG) is the Business Development and 3rd party management team for Global Retail Markets (GRM). SPG’s mission is to be “….the catalyst to drive excellence and value through world-class partnerships”. SPG currently drives more than 600K personal lines NB through 3rd party binding entities or indirectly through 16K affinity relationships, manages national small commercial partnerships, leads Accident & Health distribution, and is a co-lead for the Mobility Pod. The team is viewed as a critical growth engine for GRM, leveraging Business Development expertise to advance strategic priorities both in the US and in our global footprint. We seek individuals who are passionate about driving impact, are entrepreneurial, collaborative, and willing to test, learn, and also scale quickly.

The Business Model Expert (“BME”), Global will play a critical part in supporting the success of SPG and partnership teams across GRM East and West as the subject matter expert for global partnership opportunities with high business impact and high growth targets. Your primary objectives are to grow strategic alliances with external organizations across GRM’s three regions and improve collaboration around partnerships at Liberty Mutual, championing a “OneLiberty” mindset for partnerships. This will include regular engagement with Distribution leadership and teams across GRM East and West to understand local priorities, align priorities, align projects with regional strategies, and collaborate to reach new business premium goals.

The BME will support all verticals across SPG in identifying areas of opportunity across our international operations, creating and presenting pitches to new and existing partners, and providing guidance and expertise on best practices. The Global BME will also drive strategic coordination in support of SPG imperatives. Part of SPG’s Partner Enablement team, the Global BME will have an exciting opportunity to help shape this role with the launch of SPG’s new Future of Partnerships model.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Provides consultative support on business models and product lines to Client Executives and Relationship Managers.

2. Supports new product and capability launches by sharing industry knowledge, building out pitch materials, and assisting in the pitch process.

3. Drives internal project management and owns the prioritization of resources (timelines, executional capabilities, etc).

4. Serves as the conduit for incoming requests from internal stakeholders, triages requests and communicates with internal groups.

5. Under guidance, develops and presents executive update material and templates for imperatives.

6. Coordinates shared infrastructures and works with IT and third party vendors to ensure systems functionality.

7. Shares information and best practices across client accounts to maximize efficiencies and improve existing capabilities.

8. Cultivates subject matter expertise and stays abreast of relevant industry best practices.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Advanced degree such as MBA and/or CPCU certification preferred.

Experience working as a Relationship Manager or equivalent partner-facing role required.

Advanced industry knowledge and significant experience in the aligned product line.

Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
