Role Summary:

We have an excellent opportunity for an energetic Buying Assistant to join our Boot Room (Team Sports) team in a fast paced, fun and rewarding environment. As a Life Style Sport’s Buying Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Buyers in driving and increasing sales and margin in this category.

As well as taking an organised and enthusiastic approach to your work, this Buying Assistant role is for the Boot Room team so we 100% need a sports-mad specifically team sports fanatic to join us!

Role Responsibilities:

Buying

• Create and set up products and purchase orders in accordance with the company buying policy
• Monitor stock levels against sales projections working with the buyer to resolve any issues
• Produce weekly reports to support buying process
• Assist the buyer with preparation and participate in quarterly buying cycles
• Analyse store sales and take appropriate action where required
• Work with the buyer to develop option plans for stores and set up accordingly on the system
• Liaise with Training department to support brand training modules in stores
• Engage in regular competitor product and price checking
• Respond to and resolve queries from stores and suppliers

Merchandising Support

• Manage cancellations in accordance with company stock targets
• Maintain forward order book wish list in conjunction with the Merchandiser

Supplier Management

• Manage the order book reconciliation process
• Manage and resolve and invoicing queries

General

• Production of ad hoc sales analysis to support business decision making
• Regularly visit stores to receive feedback on opportunities to drive sales

Behavioural Competencies:

• Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills

Desired Technical Skills and Experience:

• ECDL / Microsoft Office Specialist or equivalent
• Buying Administration experience

Essential Technical Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of Leaving Certificate or equivalent
• 1-2 years administration experience preferably in fashion or sports retail
• A real love and knowledge for all things Teams Sports
