About You and this Role

The Industry Marketing Manager is the voice of the buyer and internal subject matter expert for a vertical market, trends, and new regulations. We are looking for individuals who will develop the internal expertise required to create vertical specific campaigns that make it easy for demand gen and field marketing to execute, while also providing sales enablement valuable insights to quickly build credibility with buyers, all for the purpose of growing market share in those industries.

Key Objectives

• Become the research lead and subject matter expert on target industries (one or several, depending on depth). Develop a deep understanding of the growth needs and challenges of those industries through customer project analysis, desktop search, analyst inquiries, customer interviews, sales call reviews, event attendance, etc;
• Become the subject matter expert on buyer personas within the target industries in order to understand their major pain points and typical buying process;
• Own the target vertical’s messaging and content on Liferay properties (web, social, paid media, etc.)
• Work with the Campaign Management team to design and create campaigns that increase awareness and drive marketing qualified leads for the industry vertical. Ensure that they are scalable to regions and easy to execute;
• Keep an open feedback loop with demand gen and field marketing in order to gather input for improvements;
• Help secure and leverage customer testimonials for external and internal use, including written case studies.
• Assist in producing scalable virtual events such as webinars and/or industry trade show activity.
• Ensure our sales teams remain current on industry trends through regular briefings and training sessions.
• Serve as a global resource to other Liferay organizations and departments on industry and technology trends.
• Collaborate with portfolio marketing and product development to prioritize and incorporate industry requirements into the Liferay product roadmap.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in digital lead generation marketing, market research, campaign design and implementation;
• Fluent English;
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience;
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technology innovation and solution development in the vertical markets, and a good understanding of business practices and value chains in the industry;
• Strong writing ability and content creation experience;
• Ability to foster relationships through sales and marketing, from the field to executive levels, in order to develop a reliable feedback loop for messaging and content;
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills when collaborating with cross-functional teams.;
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with independence.
