The Role at a Glance:
As an External Wholesaler for Small Market Retirement Plan Services you will develop, direct, implement, and maintain a business plan to achieve sales and growth goals for the small market retirement plan service product line. In this position you will build, enhance, and direct the relationship with firms and/or institutions in your assigned territory Northern AL and TN. You will also build, direct, and maintain external wholesale sales programs/plans which result in an increase in sales revenue and market share within the assigned territory.
What you’ll be doing:
Building and directing a more complex relationship platform by identifying senior contacts within targeted firms to achieve profitable sales and Lincoln’s product breath growth.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders on proposals and distribution of relevant marketing materials.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance.
Conducting firm/institution meetings and in-person meetings to achieve sales targets. (e.g. due diligence meetings, one-on-one meetings, sponsorship and speaking opportunities).
Cultivating, directing, and maintaining increasingly senior level client relationships within your assigned territories’ firms/institution.
Developing a comprehensive understanding of existing/targeted firms/institutions including targeted market segments, how they operate, and/or value proposition(s) and is known by them.
Developing and maintaining a more complex sales program to increase sales revenue and market share.
Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve sales objectives.
Developing, directing, and executing more complex plans to increase/gain opportunities to introduce Lincoln management and other resources to targeted firms/institutions.
Directing and developing business on behalf of the Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations.
Identifying and communicating any potential conflicts regarding Lincoln’s products/services.
Identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality.
Increasing penetration in territory by optimizing and growing relationships within existing more complex firms/institutions.
Increasing/gaining awareness of Lincoln’s products and services with more complex firms and/or institutions within your assigned territory.
Maintaining knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assessing the impact, and collaborating with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Maintaining sales call data in appropriate systems and/or complete sales reports.
Meeting or exceeding all department and/or sales goals/targets for your assigned territory.
Serving as a subject matter expert to internal/external stakeholders by developing and maintaining an advanced understanding of LFG’s products, services, and operational structure.
Utilizing expense budgets to set limits and maximize sales opportunities within your assigned territory
Working effectively to support growth in all segments of Lincoln’s products/service offerings to maximize and capitalize on the opportunities to cross sell and penetrate assigned firms/institutions.
Adhering to LFDs Culture of Compliance. Complying with LFDs policies and procedures.

4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s
FINRA Series 6 & 63 required within 90 days upon hire
