Lion Looking for Safety Advisor at East Tamaki, Auckland Full Time

The Pride is home to some of New Zealand’s most iconic and beloved beverage brands, from Steinlager and Lindauer through to Mac’s, Wither Hills, Speight’s and Zeffer.

Little Creatures is our successful craft brewery at Hobsonville Point, originally brewed in Australia by a bunch of mates who loved pale ale.

The Role

Partner with The Pride, one of the largest breweries in New Zealand, and Little Creatures, our local craft brewery – gain exposure to insights on volume beer production as well as the workings of a smaller brewery.

• Coach and influence our teams on Lion’s safety management systems
• Schedule and deploy safety training
• Enable effective contractor management and inductions through upskilling our leaders on the Pegasus system (we will train you on Pegasus)
• Be our onsite SME to partner with our teams on machine safety, permit systems and LOTO
• Join our leadership meetings to provide safety information and stay up to date on business updates
• Champion continuous improvement and develop and embed our safety systems

This role will be based mainly at The Pride in East Tamaki, with work from home flex and occasional time onsite at Little Creatures.

Bring your safety background in any industry, as well as –

• At ease engaging with team members and leaders at all levels and building positive relationships
• Enjoy being hands on and onsite at the brewery
• Motivated to learn
• Comfortable speaking in front of audiences such as at team days
