Purpose of the role:
Developing a collaborative and cohesive relationship with the corresponding RMS Finance Faculty Manager, the post holder will be a critical link between the grant central support function and academic research delivery teams. You will assume responsibility for the oversight of all grants within your faculty to ensure robust financial controls, systems and processes are in place.
Ideally, you will have project-based accounting experience from complex organisations with budgeting, forecasting and reporting skills. Supported by the allocated RMS post award portfolio team you will work in conjunction with LSTM programme teams to ensure projects are delivered to the highest calibre, while promoting corporate financial and risk management oversight of the portfolio. You will have a strong desire and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and to ensure the financial position is closely monitored.
Specific duties include allocating workload distribution, post award team line management ensuring satisfactory task completion, regular team meetings and appraisals. Implementing and maintaining LSTM’s systems and processes for fiduciary control, including the due diligence process, partner compliance and reporting
