About The Role
This role encompasses customer relationship management and integrating LIC products and service offering to farmers’ herd improvement goals. Your time will be spent both identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships. The role is responsible for a territory in the Dargaville region and you will be well supported to achieve great results.
You’ll work in partnership with your customers on-farm to understand their goals and challenges, and provide them with data-driven solutions to add value to their farms.

About You
We are seeking a candidate who enjoys networking with farmers and industry professionals, is confident, adaptable to change, and has skills in prospecting new clients and managing existing customer relationships. You will have the necessary drive, ambition, and determination to meet or exceed sales targets.
As a rural professional, you’ll understand and empathise with the unique challenges our farmers face,and easily build trust and credibility with them. A background gained in relationship management, sales, or customer-facing roles is required. You’ll be aware of the importance of herd and cow quality, have a sound knowledge of dairy cow genetics and how this goes hand-in-hand with profitability – and you’ll have little problem conveying this concept to farmers while keeping abreast of their unique situation.
A relevant tertiary qualification would be desirable and you will be able to use data and insights for effective recommendations within your well-prepared on farm visits.
