About the Role
Field Assists combine hands-on experience with professional knowledge to help increase the efficiency of farming operations. With practical experience and professional knowledge, Field Assists help improve farm decision making by making sure animal records are up to date and accurate, and ensuring customers realise the full value of LIC products and services.
This is a Casual position, with work in the Nelson area on an ‘as and when’ required basis.
About You
We need a flexible, customer focused, multi-talented, team member to help deliver support for our farming customers.
The ideal person will be someone who has a hands on approach, knowledge of, and empathy for the New Zealand dairy industry. The Field Assists deliver a number of on farm services to customers as well as supporting them through maintaining accurate herd records throughout the season. An integral part of this role will be interacting with farmers and field based staff to ensure LIC deliver a quality service.
You will possess the ability to learn quickly and facilitate the learning of a variety people. Helping farmer’s get up to speed with MINDA animal records, and other tools to help their farming business. Such as DNA sampling, Herd Audits and EID linking. You will be required to reside in the area.
