About the Role

Our GeneMark Laboratory uses the latest cost-effective DNA technologies to deliver information to our customers. We are looking for laboratory assistants to help contribute to the optimal delivery of this service.

This is an approximately six-month fixed term position from August 2022 to February 2023

Your role will be responsible for:

• The efficient preparing and testing of animal samples to a high standard.
• Ensuring quality of the laboratory work through regular maintenance and calibration of the laboratory equipment.
• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory.
• A focus on Health & Safety by upholding laboratory procedures.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with basic technical laboratory skills but holding a biochemistry and/or molecular biology with a tertiary qualification would be beneficial.

You should have a can-do attitude, great work ethic and the ability to work well in a team. The technical nature of the role requires an excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
