Description: The JASSM & LRASM program is looking to hire an entry level procurement representative.

Procurement representatives are responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.

Responsibilities also include:

-Compiling and analyzing statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.

-Monitoring performance of suppliers.

-Compiling information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.

-Evaluating areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.

-Tracking data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.

-Negotiating with suppliers and analyzing suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

-Reviewing proposals, negotiating prices, selecting or recommending suppliers, analyzing trends, following up orders placed, verifying delivery, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records.

In addition, they may also prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

Basic Qualifications:

– Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 1 year of professional experience; or a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.

– Negotiation expertise

– Excellent time management and organization skills

– Proficient in MS Excel

– Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Attentiveness to details

– Strong analytical/data analytics skills

– Previous supply chain/procurement related experience

– Customer Service Experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
