Description: Missiles and Fire Control needs an Engineer to perform the role of RF Radio Subject Matter Expert in support of the Lower Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC) 3 Missile production. The role requires knowledge of the design, implementation, testing, integration, and maintenance of radio frequency sub-systems like the RF Radios and antennas.
The Candidate shall support troubleshooting and failure investigations of RF Subsystems in support of production manufacturing. Additionally, this support includes analyzing test data and provide real-time support during production testing.
All Missiles and Fire Control RF Radio and antenna failures will be investigated, analyzed, and dispositioned using informal and formal processes. The candidate will champion any RF Radio configuration changes or waiver/deviations that require Engineering Configuration Control Board approval. The candidate will also perform generalized Engineering activities including risk management, earned value management, hardware obsolescence, and proposals.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of RF Radio systems and antennas, understand technical specifications and drawings, analyze technical data to diagnose failures, provide test support, work within a multi-functional team, and establish effective working relationships with production personnel.
This is a full-time on-site position with little opportunity to work remotely. Additionally, travel to Lockheed Martin production facilities, supplier facilities, test facilities, and customer facilities will be needed. There will be approximately 5 trips per year, lasting up to 5 days. The candidate must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field
from an accredited college/university.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain
a DoD Secret security clearance.
Experience focusing on the implementation, testing,
integration, and maintenance of RF sub-systems like
radios and antennas.
Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, and
processes is required.
Desired Skills:
2+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s
degree; or no professional experience with a related
Master’s degree.
Experience in the field testing of antennas is desirable.
Experience in RF analysis tools such as CST is also desirable.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
