Logitech Hiring for Material Futures 3D Intern at Austin, Texas Full Time

The Role:

The MF 3D INTERN will be a specialist on a partnered project between Design for Sustainability, 3D Design and CMF (Colors/Materials/Finish). Under CMF, you will have agency to develop the visuals to illustrate a sustainable material development story. With mentorship from the 3D Design Department, you’ll storyboard and develop all visuals to meet a specific brief. This summer, you will gain Sustainability insight, Design Strategy experience as well as technical skill development and mentorship alongside the most collaborative teams in a design company.

• Own a partnered project between Design for Sustainability, 3D Design and CMF. Under Material Futures (the innovation team of Color, Material, Finish), you will have agency to develop visuals to illustrate a sustainable material development story.

• Storyboard and develop all visuals to meet a specific brief with mentorship from our 3D Design Department

• Be provided all supporting information and fact checking by Design for Sustainability engineers

• Bridge the expertise, work, and passion of three internal teams by understanding the combined vision and needs of the three stakeholders will be key to a successful project

• Gain regular opportunities to interface with both the 3D team and Material Futures

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

• Relevant experience in 3D programs & Adobe Suite

• Demonstrates an understanding of composition & lighting (product and interior)

• Understanding of creating photorealistic materials & textures

• A strong eye for detail

• Great communicator & storyteller

• Book that shows technical excellence in CG 3D Still and Motion graphics with a clear style and artistic perspective

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

• Passion for Materials and Sustainability are a plus!

• Knowledge of materials and textures

• Open, experimental nature

• Well organized with demonstrated self management and maturity

• Open to collaboration and experimental iteration

• Tasks include storyboarding, design of styleframes, animation exploration, and Xparticles simulations

• SOFTWARE:

• C4D + Redshift or Octane render preferred

• Substance, Houdini & Unreal Engine knowledge is a plus

Education:

• Current undergraduate program or recently graduated
