• Greets patients, answers phone calls.
• Provides information regarding hospital services and explains hospital policies.
• Processes telephone communications efficiently and courteously.
• Responds appropriately and timely to telephone and verbal requests.
• Receives and interviews incoming patients or relatives to obtain pertinent data, obtains signatures on all applicable forms and documents.
• May perform some pre-admitting counseling and resolution of routine admitting inquiries and problems.
• May interface with medical staff as well as incoming patients.
• Follows hospital policy regarding confidentiality and release of patient information.
• Establishes and maintains effective, respectful and courteous working relationship with

patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.

• Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the department and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits.
• Provides feedback to Lead and Director regarding the implementation and compliance of department and hospital policy/procedures.
• Must work well under stress or tight deadlines.
• Must work well with supervisors, co-workers, patients/residents, family members and visitors
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure: None
• Experience: A minimum training, education, and work experience which demonstrates the ability to satisfactorily perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.
