Essential Duties:
As a Regional Crisis Center Social Service Assistant (RCC SSA) you oversee our teenage clients by maintaining sight and sound supervision. You must be a positive role model and youth mentor for our clients. As an SSA you must uphold strict professional boundaries and enforce program rules. RCC clients are often combative and have multiple mental or behavioral challenges. RCC uses verbal de-escalation tactics as well as treatments such as seclusion rooms and full-body restraints when necessary to ensure the safety of our clients.
Pay & Benefits:
$19.00/hour!
$1,000 sign-on bonus received at six months and after one year of employment!
Paid, in-depth training is provided to ensure proper support to new staff.
On-Call SSAs have the benefit of a flexible schedule and the ability to be considered for full-time positions as seen fit by supervisors.
Any shifts completed over the minimum 5 shifts a month, may be eligible for a bonus of up to $200 per shift!
Schedules:
As a 24-hour residential facility, staff are always present in the facility. Shifts run in three rotations:
Day shifts – approximately 7:00am – 3:00pm.
Swing shifts – approximately 2:00pm – 11:00pm.
Awake overnight shifts – approximately 10:00 pm – 8:00 am
On-call staff much complete a minimum of five (5) shifts per month and one (1) staff meeting per month to remain active.
Any shifts completed over the minimum 5 shifts a month, may be eligible for a bonus of up to $200 per shift!
On-call staff are scheduled both in advance, for pre-planned absences, as well as with short notice when unplanned circumstances arise.
Qualifications:
Ability to qualify for QHMA certification is required – A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, corrections, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
Ability to pass ProACT crisis intervention training which includes verbal and physical intervention principles.
Previous experience working in a residential setting with at-risk youth is required.
Ability to uphold professional boundaries and maintain program rules is required.

In accordance with the Oregon Health Authority rule, all healthcare providers and staff working in the Adjudicated Youth Services program must be fully vaccinated no later than October 18th or have an approved exemption/accommodation before beginning work.
