Position MAINTENANCE MECHANIC I OR IIDepartment / Site BETHEL – DISTRICT OFFICEQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment.Must pass a criminal background check.Maintenance Mechanic IDemonstrated abilities for the successful performance of building and equipment maintenance responsibilitiesat the journeyman level under limited direct supervision. Willingness to travel to remote locations. Alaska StateWater Treatment Operator Level 1, where applicable. New hires and current employees must pass theexamination within 3 consecutive test dates after being offered the training.Maintenance Mechanic IIMust meet one (1) of the following requirements. A.
