Assists surgical team during operative procedures. As a surgical team member under direct supervision

of the circulating RN, provides pre-operative and intra-operative patient care. Demonstrates knowledge

of use & care of all surgical instruments both intra-operatively & post-operatively. Demonstrates

knowledge of all surgical electrical equipment as it pertains to optimum working order.

High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

n

Preferred: Associates Degree Specify Degree(s): Surgical Technology

nMinimum Experience: Required: n

n

Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

n

nLicensure/Certifications: Required: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

n

Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist
