LRO Staffing Hiring for Senior SAP HANA Developer/Administrator Job at Ottawa Full Time

Following its ongoing SAP HANA EE installation and configuration, our client requires ongoing enhanced support during the initial operationalization of SAP HANA and services with the appropriate level of expertise to support database maintenance, database administration, data modeling, and documentation.

Scope of work includes:

• Maintenance of SAP HANA database. The resource’s primary roles will include supporting the maintenance and administration of SAP HANA EE on a closed network. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating with IT team to run software updates, document changes, and control access
• Data modeling in SAP HANA database. The resource’s primary roles will include supporting SAP ECC 6.0 data modeling (including but not limited to MM, PM, and FI data) in SAP HANA EE and using SAP HANA Smart Data Integration (SDI)
• Documentation. The resource will support documenting relevant technical activities including but not limited to: data models, data sources, gaps in data availability, data catalogue, data library, software updates, and system requirements
• SAP Meetings and Communication. The resource will participate in meetings and communicate with others about SAP opportunities, technologies, and programme operating models. The resource, leveraging their SAP expertise, will tailor their input to the business requirements of DFS. This role may include guidance to management, training, and KT to DFS team members

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Work with IT organizations to conduct software updates
• Support the documentation of instance of SAP HANA EE disaster recovery
• Monitor infrastructure usage (RAM, CPU, etc.) and work with IT organization to ensure adequate system capacity to support analytics demand
• Conduct data modeling in SAP HANA EE
• Source and model non-SAP data (e.g. geospatial data) in SAP HANA in order to meet business requirements
• Participate in and support meetings with business users in order to better understand business requirements
• Support and contribute to the development of a data catalogue and a data library

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science or a relevant field from a post-secondary institution (Proof of Education is required)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within the past 5 years as an SAP HANA Database Administrator
• Minimum 1 years’ experience within the past 3 years as an SAP Data Modeler
• Excellent English communication skills
• Valid Secret level II security clearance at the time of bid closing

About the Job

• Duration: March 13, 2023 to December 15, 2023 (40 weeks)
• Location: On an as and when required basis—for the purposes of security—some work must be provided on-site at the client site in Ottawa, Ontario
• Hours of work: The Contractor’s resource shall work on-site five (5) days per week during core hours of operation. Core hours of operation are defined as 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Although the Contractor’s resource may work outside of these core hours, a significant volume of work occurs principally during core business hours
