The Role
As a Product Owner, you’ll work closely with the Product Manager to align on product vision and roadmap, translating Epics into user stories and acceptance criteria that enable onshore and offshore developer teams to create the highest quality product. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of Product Managers, Developers, UI designers, and QA teams on a regular basis.
You will own the product backlog and continually groom it to align with product strategy, business goals, and pre-defined quality metrics. You will lead sprint planning and release testing, working with scrum masters and development managers to ensure delivery teams are equipped with requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and timelines. You’ll be responsible for communicating backlog priority, risks and dependencies, and delivery status to internal stakeholders, working with necessary teams to mitigate risks or adjust delivery timing as necessary.
The Main Responsibilities
• Author user stories that align to product strategy and roadmap
• Work directly with development teams to ensure a full understanding and acceptance of user stories, refining documentation as needed
• Create and manage a prioritized backlog of user stories for development teams to implement
• Partner with QA to define acceptance criteria and verify acceptance criteria are met; drive defect triage and prioritization
• Lead program increment planning and sprint planning ceremonies, working with Agile Release Train manager and development manager to ensure appropriate estimating, resourcing, and documentation is available
• Communicate risks, status, and delivery targets to the stakeholders and working teams
• Participate in product deployments and releases, contributing to quality control and testing as needed
• Collaborate with UXUI and data intelligence teams to incorporate user research and product performance data into user stories and Agile ceremonies as needed
• Continually gather and analyze Voice of the Customer data to inform backlog prioritization, inspire delivery teams, and always encourage customer-first mentality
What We Look For in a Candidate
• 2-4 years’ professional experience in a digital product environment
• Experience working within Agile methodology, Agile ceremonies, and MVP approach to product rollout
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into simplified tasks
• Direct experience working with developers to iteratively build a customer-facing solution
• Experience collaborating with cross functional support teams, such as UI/UX designers and analytics teams, to identify and resolve customer pain points
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adopt and adapt to change
• Experience effectively communicating status, tradeoffs and risks with multiple parties
• Familiarity with collaboration and project tracking software such as JIRA, Asana, Confluence
• Growth mindset with the appetite to learn and experiment in a rapidly evolving environment
• Experience working within a highly matrixed organization and understanding the needs of multiple teams

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
