Role summary:

To implement distribution plans for the Distribution function to meet current/future customer service requirements and continually improve cost efficiency/quality of service in line with the Distribution Centre goals.

Hours of work will primarily be Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 5:30 hours and every third Sunday 3 hrs, once trained this can be completed from home. As logistics is an ever moving business, there will always be a possibility of ad hoc and/or out of hours (substitution) shifts. Therefore, a high degree of flexibility will be required.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities:

• Routing within the financial metrics Lynas Foodservice
• Tachograph analysis and management.
• Build and maintain relationships with colleagues.
• Dealing with general customer inquiries
• De-brief drivers
• Working with the Transport team on driver and vehicle availability
• Control and monitoring of cancelled and return orders
• Assist with quality control of all HR & Training files and documentation.
• Ensure outstanding documents from Depots and Suppliers are received and resolve any anomalies
• Purchase Order management for Distribution Department
• Any other reasonable duties as assigned from time to time by management

Knowledge, skills & experience:

Essential:

• Strong business acumen and commercially aware with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong logistical and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• IT literacy and an Advance knowledge of MS Office -Excel, Access, VBA, Routing software and Power Bi.
• You are eligible to work full time in Ireland

Desirable:

• A relevant diploma or degree or at least 3 years prior work experience in planning and/or shipping business
• Class C licence & Own Transport
