Summary The Mission Integration and Operations (MIO) Office is seeking a skilled individual to serve as a International Space Station (ISS) Increment Manager with responsibility for providing leadership, integration, and programmatic technical direction to multidisciplinary teams responsible for the increment requirements development, increment and stage management, payload mission integration, stage integration, and operations as it relates to the planning, conduct, and completion of an increment. Responsibilities Leads International Space Station (ISS) Program efforts to ensure Mission Integration and Operations products support planning and execution for ISS activities and assigned Increments. Manages and leads the Increment Management Team (IMT) in planning and coordinating the execution of assigned Increment(s). Maintains situational awareness of Program objectives/priorities, past and planned ISS operations, and on-orbit vehicle/system configuration to enhance Increment and ISS Program management. Leads the Increment Management Center (IMC) real-time mission support for activities within the Increment. Coordinates and integrates international partner participation in Mission Integration and Operations activities of the ISS Program and the assigned Increment. Leads the development and presentation of materials for the ISS Manager Program Reviews. Manages new requirements inputs and priority order for requirements through the Increment Definition and Requirements Document (IDRD). Supports the Certification of Flight Readiness (CoFR) process for flights and stages within the Increment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the basic education requirement (shown below), you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: experience interfacing with multiple stakeholders such as prime contractors, engineering organizations, and international partner personnel to support the planning and mission execution of international space station (ISS) activities; experience working with ISS program elements, architecture and on-orbit scenarios; experience managing new requirements associated with (ISS) program documentation (e.g. program authorization letter (PAL), increment definition and requirements document (IDRD), current stage requirements document (CSRD), certification of flight readiness (COFR), international space station management center (IMC)). Education You must have successfully completed a bachelor’s or graduate degree with a major in either a) engineering from a college or university that has ABET accredited engineering programs or b) Physical Science, Mathematics, Life Science, Computer Science, or other field of physical science.
