Summary This position will perform project management tasks for facility integration projects across the JSC Engineering Directorate. Tasks will be related to planning and assessing costs and schedules, managing work authorization documentations, negotiating with entities across the Center, and providing periodic status to Directorate management. Responsibilities Provide project management, including analysis planning, budget, schedule, integration and verification of requirements, creation of Facility Work Orders (WO) and Work Authorization Documents (WAD), and product delivery for assigned projects. Represent assigned projects at project reviews and provide status and planning inputs regarding resource assessments, schedule management, and risks. Manage assigned Facility Work Orders (WO), Work Authorization Documents (WAD), and Construction of Facilities (CoF) tasks and integrate with Directorate and Center personnel as required to capture requirements and complete tasks. Participate in Facility Space Working Group meetings to maintain awareness of ongoing and planned facility activities across the Directorate regarding space utilization needs. Incorporate knowledge of Directorate moves, furniture layouts, space utilization assessments, and space refurbishment status when making project plans in order to assess and verify resource requirements vs availability. Incorporate the overall Engineering Directorate (EA) facility strategic plan into project planning. Provide architectural analysis, planning, and design principles such as sustainability, constructability, value engineering, and integration into other Directorate, Center, and Agency goals to develop the best possible solutions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level Participating in the planning or managing of projects to include performing at least two of the following: managing cost and schedule, performance measurement, trend and historical data analyses, presentations to Division and Directorate management, or collaboration with multiple entities; Supporting the collection and assessment of data or conducting trade-off studies or performing cost/benefit analyses; and Demonstrating knowledge of the Space Utilization Tool and awareness of the facility Work Authorization Documents (WAD) process.
