Macquarie’s Futures business primarily focuses on ETDs (Exchange Traded Derivatives) in the APAC, European and America regions to service external clients, interbank counterparts and internal trading desks. We rely heavily on both vendor and in-house developed systems to make profitable and sustainable income.

You will be working with front and middle office stakeholders to translate business strategy into clear technical requirements, designing and implementing solutions using agile methodologies and improving DevOps processes and tooling whilst providing support to the business users globally.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• 2 – 5+ years’ experience in Core Java solution design and application development
• familiarity with RESTful JSON web services
• experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot framework
• experience in frontend development with JavaScript framework (Angular preferred)
• experience with relationship database and SQL
• ability to understand existing systems/data flows, and come up with suitable design in-line with strategic and scalable services

Nice to have:

• experience building applications in public cloud (AWS/Google/Azure)
• experience with linux operations/shell scripting
• experience in Banking and Finance
