Job Overview
Macy’s is looking for self-motivated individuals to partner with a team of Marketing and Photo Professionals responsible for creating content at our Long Island City Photo Studios. The role’s primary objective is supporting pre and post-creation of content while continuing to meet both creative and production demands. As part of this creative team you’ll be utilizing new and exciting technology to accomplish Macy’s continuing ecommerce growth.
Essential Functions
- Studio Equipment inventory, tracking and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot camera, equipment, computer, and electrical issues.
- Pack and un-pack equipment for location shoots.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs, rentals, and deliveries.
- Maintain studios and equipment rooms in a safe, organized manner.
- Set-up/break-down sets and equipment.
- Paint Cyc and Sets.
- Facilities support as needed.
- Provide support to in-house teams and external clients throughout shoot duration.
- Provide a smooth workflow on set by providing accurate image file naming and parameters.
- Process and deliver files, contact sheets, and prints from shoots as needed.
- Work closely with studio managers to develop techniques for consistency and efficiency.
Competencies
- 1-2 years photo or production experience.
- Working knowledge of CaptureOne Pro and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of cameras, strobes and continuous lighting.
- Ability to thrive in a creative and productive environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to lift and/or move 25lbs+
- Customer service mindset.
- Team player with a flexible approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and overcome challenges.
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
