Our client is a trusted and locally reputable firm, who specialise in providing commercial and rural clients with individually tailored accounting services. They pride themselves on generating solutions and advice by taking a proactive approach when working with clients.

About The Role

In this role, you will be joining a growing firm. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team, including overseeing and reviewing financial statements, assisting with complex accounts, and supporting the directors with internal system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend client meetings, including networking, and maintaining client engagement
• Assist staff with complex accounts, and provide support to the internal team
• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns including FBT and GST
• Ensure compliance obligations are upheld including IRD forms

Start Date And Hours

As Christmas is fast approaching, our client is flexible and accommodating of candidates who prefer to start in the New Year.

Standard business hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

About You

This is an existing opportunity for a Senior Accountant looking to take the next step in their career or a seasoned Accounting Manager looking to gain shares in a successful and expanding business. To be successful for this position, our client is looking for someone who is confident interacting with clients, managing a team and has public practice experience. Although desired, experience with rural clients is not required.

• Relevant qualification that meets CAANZ standards
• New Zealand public practice experience
• Xero and Xero Practice Manager experience
• Existing working rights for New Zealand
