Mahaffey USA, a company with a history of over 97 years in the business is seeking an enthusiastic and driven HR Specialist to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department’s daily activities.
The ideal Human Resource Specialist responsibilities include updating our employee records with new hire information, screening resumes and scheduling interviews. Assisting employees with uniform requests and timeclock entry. If you’re interested in starting a career in HR with a great culture and getting a closer look at how our company approaches payroll, recruiting and employee development, we’d like to meet you. You should also be able to draft employee communications notifying staff of policy and procedural changes, coordinate all of our social media sites, recruit the best candidates for our company and work in a fast-paced setting.
Ultimately, you will assist in organizing and coordinating our HR processes and daily administrative task. To be successful as an HR Specialist, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in labor legislation to determine how company HR policies may be affected. Ultimately, an outstanding HR Specialist should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills with at least 3 years of a proven track record in recruitment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in Outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or studying toward a degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
Proven experience working in an office environment.
Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws.
The ability to work as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills.
Detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Physical demands require sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment.
