Major Tool & Machine Hiring for Receptionist (Part-time) Job at Indianapolis, IN Full Time

Major Tool & Machine (MTM) is looking for a part-time receptionist. This position is a central role to the organization by creating a positive experience for customers and visitors, while fulfilling security compliance procedures. Daily tasks include supporting varied administrative support needs of multiple teams, with a focus on providing direct support to the Estimating Team. Reports to the VP of Estimating.

Duties:

• Greet customers, vendors or visitors. Register individuals under security protocols and issue visitor badges with appropriate status. Communicate with hosts and direct visitors as needed.
• Answer incoming calls and direct as appropriate. Post outgoing mail and distribute incoming mail to internal mailboxes. Maintain internal mailbox system for personnel assignment. Send, receive and distribute facsimile transmittals.
• Order business and event lunches as requested. Support external caterers with logistics while onsite. Provide support for business meetings for refreshing supplies and clearing area afterwards.
• Provide support to Estimating Team for scanning documents, data entry, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Provide administrative support to other teams as requested.

Requirements:

• Minimum education required is a high school diploma or GED. Prefer some post-secondary education in business administration or related degree field.
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to apply appropriately to the situation.
• Keyboarding/data entry proficiency including accuracy a must, with ability to be flexible with job assignments and learn new things.
