Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the UK’s largest and most popular universities in the UK. The Department of Recruitment and Admissions at Manchester Metropolitan plays a key role in recruiting and admitting new students to the University. We are looking to appoint an Admissions Officer who will play a key role in ensuring that applications to the University are processed efficiently and effectively.
Whilst working flexibly across the team, this role with have a specific focus on one area of the team supporting the application processing for that area. The role would be required to work with key stakeholders across the University and when processing apprenticeship applications with key industry partners.
The post holder will be responsible for managing a team of recruitment and admissions assistants, overseeing, and coordinating the daily assessment and processing of a large volume of applications ensuring the delivery of a high-quality admissions service for our applicants.
The Admissions Officer will have excellent written and communications skills and a high degree of accuracy. They will also have an excellent, in-depth understanding of the application process for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Interpreting complex guidelines and procedures and applying them to individual circumstances is also essential.
As a team leader, experience of managing motivating and supporting a team of staff in a customer service environment, planning and prioritising workload will also be required.
