Manpower Engineering Hiring for Technical Writer – Documentation specialist Job at Bloomington, MN Full Time

A client of ours has a need for a Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist. In this role you will
research topics and generate innovative ideas for content to be documented and easily understood by a
broad audience. You will also create and maintain a documentation storage and retrieval system.

Role Responsibilities:
 Create and maintain product and sales documentation such as operating instructions,
technical detail sheets, customer specific certifications, and regulatory affairs related
documentation.
 Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest audience
comprehension.
 Work independently but also meet with subject matter experts to ensure topics are
documented appropriately.
 Analyze information required for the development or update of documentation.
 Review, edit, and publish content developed by other members of the team.
 Collaborate with various team members to ensure they obtain, complete, and submit
necessary documentation requested correctly.
 Review and stay informed on changes to regulations and requirements to create and update
documentation that meets the needs of the group and our customers.
 Create, organize, and maintain a documentation storage system that is revision controlled
and appropriately accessible.
 Participate in regulatory, customer, and internal inspections and audits.

Minimum Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in English, communication, business administration or 3+ years of
relevant work experience in technical writing and documentation control.
Preferred Qualifications:
 Excellent written and oral communications skills, organizational skills, and attention to
detail.
 Fluency in technical and common office computer software.
 Ability to prioritize and execute tasks.

 Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills.
 Experience with Adobe InDesign graphic design software.
 Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
 Customer oriented.
 Fluency in German language would be a plus.
