Our client, Medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking an IQA Technician II to join their team.

What’s the Job?
Shift: Primarily 1st shift, flexible to accommodate a mid-shift as program needs evolve
Brief Summary: We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector with a solid background in CMM operations/programming and proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) for a dynamic role inspecting inbound materials for complex medical device assembly. This position involves both manual and advanced inspection techniques, requiring familiarity with engineering drawings, sampling methodologies, and ERP systems for data collection.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Tier 1 inspections utilizing hand tools (calipers, gauges, rulers) and perform visual checks on incoming materials.
Execute Tier 2 inspections using advanced instruments, including 3D/2D digital measuring projectors, optical testing devices (e.g., OGP, Keyence IM), and visual inspections for printed material.
Interpret complex engineering drawings and make data-driven quality decisions based on inspection results.
Ensure compliance with IPC-610-A standards and maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout inspection processes.
Top Skills & Requirements:
Strong background in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and engineering drawing interpretation
Meticulous attention to detail
Experience with medical device quality inspections preferred
Knowledge of sampling methodologies
Hands-on experience in a quality/inspection role with familiarity in IPC-610-A standards
Qualifications:
High School diploma required; 2-3 years of relevant experience in quality inspections or medical device assembly preferred.
Previous experience with medical devices or similar regulated environments is highly valued.
