The Role

You will know your stuff – inwards, inventory, outwards – as well as all things staff management and development. Someone with great communication skills who can work closely with internal and external stakeholders and who likes the idea of a role that will continue to adapt and grow as the business continues on its successful journey. Work collaboratively with wider management on new ideas and enjoy playing a key role within this agile and energetic environment. Some key responsibilities include:

• Manage Inward Goods and Drum Warehouse
• Lead and coach the warehouse staff
• Manage container movements and domestic transfers
• Planning of resources and management of the warehouse and dispatch team
• Maintaining inventory by conducting physical counts and assisting the Inventory Controller with reconciling variances and subsequent root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Keeping equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
• Ensure that health and safety procedures are met, and your team is safe at all times
• Lead a strong safety and quality culture and ensures that health and safety procedures are met, and your team is safe at all times
• Set-up frameworks & metrics to monitor all fulfilment performance to maintain high level of service quality, shortest lead-time, and best customer experience

Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes and skills

• Ability to create a strong warehouse team, capable of working seamlessly across the different functions within the warehousing environment
• Experience in leading a high growth, high volume, and high SKU warehouse operation with clear performance metrics and process improvements pipeline
• Experience in warehouse layout, cost/benefit analysis, labour productivity analysis
• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other lean initiatives to enable their functional area and the warehouse to meet and exceed business expectations
• 3+ years of people leader experience
• Hands-on manager experience

Remuneration will be $90,000 – $100,000 per annum depending on experience, for a minimum of 40 hours per week. Your wage will be applicable for all hours worked and overtime rates will not apply.
