Ice Cream Production – FULL TIME YEAR ROUND

Marianne’s Ice Cream is a Santa Cruz landmark, serving the community for 75 years. We serve delicious, handmade, super-premium ice cream at our retail scoop shops, several wholesale locations & restaurants and at catering events across the Santa Cruz and larger Bay area. We are looking for a seasonal, full-time, hourly production worker to join our growing team.

The Ice Cream Production Worker will be part of a team responsible for making ice cream, preparing ice cream bases, pies, inclusions and more! This job will require physically active and repetitive tasks. You may also be required to assist with Novelty and Kitchen Production.

Hourly Wage: $18-25

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to)

Maintaining the success of Marianne’s Ice Cream Production by participating in or leading any of the following tasks:

• Be a part of the Ice Cream Production team, includes filling containers, lidding, handling manufacturing tasks etc.
• Follow recipes and maintain par numbers for scratch made ice cream bases, pies and inclusions

• Be efficient, use and prioritize time wisely

• Organize and coordinate daily needs with production managers

• Communicate relevant information to production managers

• Be able and willing to go above and beyond when the team needs it

• Be obsessive about quality
• Light cleaning of kitchen and equipment
• Follow Foods Safety Guidelines for food manufacturing and cleaning

Qualifications/ Requirements

• 2+ years in a fast pace kitchen environment as a scratch baker or cook
• Must be self-driven and thrive in a fast pace environment
• Can switch tasks with ease, while not missing details
• Can handle repetitive movements while standing for 8-hour shift
• Be able to lift/push/pull up to 70 pounds

• Be able to bend/squat and lift 25 pounds from the ground

• Knowledge of specialty kitchen equipment is a plus
• Must be available Monday-Friday 6am-2pm

• Loves ice cream
